Dr. Mohit Vij

Dr. Mohit Vij is serving as Associate Professor in the Faculty of Business Administration, Liwa College of Technology, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Mohit holds an MBA from HEC Montreal (Canada) and a Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University (India). With more than two decades of experience, Dr. Mohit is an expert in developing and planning academic and training programs. He has successfully led research and consultancy projects for Destination Management Organizations (DMOs). In the past, he developed and conducted the Tourist Guide License program for Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA); Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), and Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Authority (RAKTDA).  He has also made a significant contribution to academia through publishing in top-tier journals, books, national newspapers, and trade magazines. He was honoured with the Award for Excellence in Teaching 2017-18 & 2011-12 and the Award for Excellence in Services 2014-15. Dr. Mohit believes passionately in giving back to society and making a difference by education and training of various segments of the community. He successfully conducted programs such as women empowerment, professional skills for Taxi drivers, and tourism programs for inmates at punitive & correction centres. His research areas include tourism training, tourism marketing, and sustainable tourism development.
